Having a husband from San Juan Batangas has given me the privilege of exploring this beautiful town. This is one of the places we will surely return to, not only because our relatives are there but also because this location is growing and expanding as one of the new tourist spots near Manila, just two hours of land travel away. It is such a privilege to live near San Juan that we can visit from time to time.
After the recent visit to Laiya, I am once again reminded that I need to create a series of posts about San Juan and the beautiful places we've visited. This will help those considering a trip or vacation in San Juan. This time, I will find the time to complete these posts by adding the photos from our trip to showcase the places we visited.
San Juan Batangas is famous for the following:
Tuba and Lambanog, Pottery and White Beaches
If you are from Manila, you'll see the pottery stalls before reaching the town's Poblacion (Market). They also sell water fountains in various sizes, decorative jars, clay pots for planting and cooking, as well as small pots that children can use for play (play pretend toys). Some of the stall owners accept landscaping services, and these stalls now sell plants, too. I love coming here because I adore plants.
Restaurants and Dining
Jollibee
Orange (now closed a new restaurant is operating in that same location I forget to recall the name)
Halo-Halo shops (inside San Juan Market) - Glo's Halo- Halo and Macaraig's Halo-Halo
Bens Halo-Halo
Beach and Resorts
Bahay Marikit
Dreamland Resort
Public Beach Area
Private Beach fees include buffet meals, making bookings here costly. This will discourage you from bringing uncooked meals on your trip. You may bring some personal food for your snacks. A corkage fee is charged at the discretion of the beach/resort, depending on the type of meal you bring.

Please note: The stated places are those we have visited. There are still many dining options that we have yet to experience and numerous beaches and resorts to explore. I didn't receive any compensation, privileges, or gifts for writing this post and the subsequent posts linking to this page. All opinions are my own.
