My Christmas Decors for 2015

As promised, I am now posting the Christmas decorations I have created to embellish our house, business, and church. As much as possible, I tried not to buy items to make these decorations to save money, so I focused on recycling and reusing materials to complete my Christmas decor.

Another Great Year to Come

Hello everyone.  I know I have been quiet here for some time.  After giving birth, I have been very busy with many things.  I couldn't count the number of attempts I made to write a blog post, but I didn't succeed in doing so. Later in December, I had to focus more on breastfeeding our newborn, so I had to give up the internet and blogging.  Instead, whenever time allows (when the baby is sleeping), I choose to work on making crafts for our Christmas gifts.  See  the photos of the crafts we made below. I'll try to post the tutorials for the crafts soon.  Please give me a bit more time for that.  The children were so excited about the season's celebration and being spoiled with gifts from friends and relatives.

The Measure of Real Giving

Have you ever felt incapable of giving because of limited finances?  Should we feel restricted in our ability to give just because we feel empty-handed? Especially during this Christmas season, many of us worry about how we can give, and thus we find ourselves burdened with the pressures of buying gifts for everyone. However, with the right perspective, it is far better to give cheerfully rather than out of obligation.  Lately, I have been pondering how I can afford to give presents when we are on a very tight budget.  It certainly is much easier to give with a thick wallet.  This is one reason why I am now asking the Lord to bless me financially.  God reminded me of someone who demonstrated remarkable generosity even in poverty.

Christmas On Display In Batangas City

Are you looking for a place to stroll and spend the remaining days of your vacation? Consider visiting Batangas City.

The City Government of Batangas came up with an idea of placing an Animated Christmas Display so Batanguenos need not to go to Manila to experience the same show. Greenhills Shopping Center became popular because of this attraction every Christmas season, and it was known as COD - Christmas on Display.  This action also boosted Batangas City's economy because of the tourists who are coming to pay a visit.

Christmas lantern from recycled items

Zskya, our church mate and a K5 student of Batangas National Highschool came to me and asked if she and her classmates can use the church hall because they needed a space to make a Christmas lantern.  I learned that every class from K5 to 4thyear are to submit a lantern as part of their project.  It is also a school competition - the lantern should be made out of recycled materials - therefore it should not cost much that's the major criteria for judging. They started covering their star shaped lantern with old magazines.  Their original plan was to use tahong shells to decor their lantern project.  Unfortunately, the assigned person to bring the shells couldn't come.  Zsyka came at our house and consulted me of what's the best thing to do with the lantern.
