This made me smile...

If you're a housewife, you definitely feel like losing your sanity most of the time.  Our everyday lives are tied up with never-ending chores and responsibilities.  While many husbands and some narrow-minded people think that being a housewife is easy, I want to prove them wrong.  These people say that we don't have to work and that all we need to do is stay at home.  What makes you say that stay-at-home moms don't have to work?  You'll never know how tough it is to be at home.  Why not try doing my responsibilities for at least a day and then tell me how easy it is to be a housewife?

http://home-school-coach.com/children-need-parents-presence-time-attention/Housewives don't complain about the mountains of laundry or cleaning the house every hour, which seems to make no difference at all.  We are also forced to think of ways to earn money that will help sustain our financial needs, as we know the real state of our budget.  We are willing to sacrifice our wants just to provide for the needs of our husbands and children.  We love what we do and can bear the greater challenge of taking care of our children.  It hurts to hear other people belittle us as "housewives," and it is even more painful when our husbands come home and voice complaints instead of asking how our day went and offering some help. What we need is support, especially from our husbands, family, and friends.  We want to feel appreciated and loved. At times, we want to feel special; we desire to hear encouraging words rather than complaints about what we should or shouldn't do. We need someone to take care of us too.

Mother's Day Celebration 2013

It's not easy being a mom, yet I would say it is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I feel happy watching my children grow and am delighted to care for them each and every day.

Yesterday, I received many greetings through SMS and my Facebook account. I appreciated it greatly; thank you, everyone. It's wonderful that there is a day dedicated to honoring all mothers. I just wanted to share my Mother's Day experience from 2013.

Maintaining my sanity over this crazy life

Pearl's garden via mommyhanny

Definitely I am a very happy hands on mom to my three children and no doubt about that.  Yet I would be hypocrite saying that everything is perfect and going on smoothly.  Imagine me alone supervising three super children.  This drives me crazy everyday that it felt like almost loosing my sanity.  I have to be sure not to take my eyes off them.  And you know, it's hard to keep them all in one place.  Watching over them is not my sole duty; so to accomplish things I had to be creative and keep them busy so I can do things around with my eyes still fixed on them.  Well of course with me being limited, they would most of the time make a terrible chaos. How do I maintain my sanity?

Only moms can fully understand...

I believe that all people whether young or old, male or female, regardless of status in life at some point sacrifices for a better purpose.

I used to wonder if I would be a good mom to my children. From the time I conceived my first son, my fears started about whether I could nurture and provide for our coming child. Since then, I have started praying that I can raise godly children following biblical principles. This way, I know I can never get it wrong.

My sacrifices as a mother started when I conceived for our firstborn son.

Look at how they grow

Lately I realized that sooner we'll no longer have a baby in the house.  After five years of being married we're blessed to have three lovely and so active children.  It always makes me smile remembering the first time I saw and hold them in my arms.  It brought a different warmth of feeling and such unexplainable joy!  It was one of the most precious moments I'll surely keep.

Given a chance to once more accept a well paid profession;I will no longer have any second thoughts

My children had stomach flu

One Thursday night, my daughter throws her tantrums just before sleeping.  We're used to see her this way when she feels sleepy, what's unusual was she had an argument with her Dad that caused her to have negative feelings about him. All throughout the night she was restless, she would wake up crying, I was thinking that she is having bad dreams because of the incident with her Daddy.

In the morning she refused to smile at her Dad, still in bad mood and I noticed that she frequently burps and is about to throw up.  She usually drinks a glass of chocolate flavored milk after waking up.  After the drink she vomited.  I thought she is having gas pains same as in hyper acidity.  Anytime she eats or drinks it causes her throw up.  What I did was to give her food and water little by little at an interval to avoid vomiting.  It made me think that she is not having hyper acidity when she started to pass watery stools in the afternoon.  That made me consider she is having gastroenteritis.  Last year of the same month, she and her big brother had acute gastroenteritis and was hospitalized because of that.

Daddy’s Playtime

A father plays a different role in the family.  They have a different play style compare with mothers.  Daddies tend to play energetically, making a lot of noise and move the babies vigorously.  Moms generally sings, rocks and cuddle the baby gently, plays quiet active games and soothing activities.  These two different approaches complement each other that a baby values it equally the reason why it is so important that both parents should be involved in caring for the baby.  (Based on the book “Caring for Your Baby and the Young)

My Family Life

I am a full time mother of three – JC (4y/o), Eu-La (2y/o) and SJ (4mos.).  I am a proud full time (hands on) mommy no regrets at all!  I know how important it is to see how my children grow and I don’t want the time to pass by without me seeing how they mature.   It is hard for me to leave my children under a nanny’s care.   I am not against working moms and I salute them.  For me it was just a choice of staying in the house and to personally look for my children.  It was a sacrifice on my part, I had so many plans and dreams of my own that for now I needed to give up for the sake of my children.  I am blessed that I no longer need to work because we have our own business that needs lesser supervision; yet at times tempted to look for one considering the growing needs of the family that needs to be sustained.  Also to mention that I am a pastor’s wife – that requires me additional responsibilities in the church.
