Camping : Family's First

First of all, I am truly sorry for leaving this blog silent for so many days.  I have been very busy with numerous matters.  Yet, I am here again and excited to share my stories.

Why I don't consider myself poor

This afternoon, I had the chance to be at Laiya Beach again.  I really loved walking along the shore, feeling the breeze, watching the waves, and appreciating the blue waters.  I also can't resist playing in the sand, which I now enjoy with my kids.  I have a habit of picking up shells; I just can't help it whenever I see one. If there are no shells, I go home with at least a few pieces of colorful stones.  One thing that made me happiest today was having a very quiet time alone.  This was a very short moment, just a few minutes of walking along the shore by myself.  I appreciate every bit of nature.

Another Great Year to Come

Hello everyone.  I know I have been quiet here for some time.  After giving birth, I have been very busy with many things.  I couldn't count the number of attempts I made to write a blog post, but I didn't succeed in doing so. Later in December, I had to focus more on breastfeeding our newborn, so I had to give up the internet and blogging.  Instead, whenever time allows (when the baby is sleeping), I choose to work on making crafts for our Christmas gifts.  See  the photos of the crafts we made below. I'll try to post the tutorials for the crafts soon.  Please give me a bit more time for that.  The children were so excited about the season's celebration and being spoiled with gifts from friends and relatives.

Villa Escudero Day Tour

We are glad to have our children being homeschooled; this gives us the freedom to take trips more often and to schedule them freely, even on weekdays. Homeschooling has provided us with an opportunity to save extra money for these activities, and it is cheaper to travel during weekdays without having to deal with large crowds.

Vacation at my in-law's-house

It is too tiring to be in a minister's family.  We are involved with different activities and plannings. We are collaborating with so many people not only with our church members.  I have seen that our network of people gets bigger as years comes.  There will be days that we needed to receive guests and fellowship with them.  I love having them at our house, yet on the other side - it is really tiring.  I don't regret welcoming visitors in spite of that.  Would still welcome more guests these coming days.

In a minister's life, too often we really needed a break to refresh our mind and body.

Maintaining my sanity over this crazy life

Pearl's garden via mommyhanny

Definitely I am a very happy hands on mom to my three children and no doubt about that.  Yet I would be hypocrite saying that everything is perfect and going on smoothly.  Imagine me alone supervising three super children.  This drives me crazy everyday that it felt like almost loosing my sanity.  I have to be sure not to take my eyes off them.  And you know, it's hard to keep them all in one place.  Watching over them is not my sole duty; so to accomplish things I had to be creative and keep them busy so I can do things around with my eyes still fixed on them.  Well of course with me being limited, they would most of the time make a terrible chaos. How do I maintain my sanity?

Lessons from year 2012

God has been good for the past year and I know He will remain faithful on the coming years ahead!  Year 2012 has taught me more lessons in life.

Nothing is permanent in this world.  "Everything changes except the word change", a line from one of my high school teachers that I won't forget.  Year 2012 reminded me of this fact that things changes and people too.  We can never be assured of the things to come nor of the promises from the people.  This changing world could not offer security; only God does.  With this fact, I learned to accept that people may fail me and material things cannot satisfy my longings.  Everything in this world is temporary be it relationships, but things of above will remain for eternity.

Christmas On Display In Batangas City

Are you looking for a place to stroll and spend the remaining days of your vacation? Consider visiting Batangas City.

The City Government of Batangas came up with an idea of placing an Animated Christmas Display so Batanguenos need not to go to Manila to experience the same show. Greenhills Shopping Center became popular because of this attraction every Christmas season, and it was known as COD - Christmas on Display.  This action also boosted Batangas City's economy because of the tourists who are coming to pay a visit.

Buena days - here she comes

"-Ber" months just started!  I'm writing my very first post for this month of September.  I don't know what's going on in your mind and your feelings as the end of the year approaches.  Days ends so fast and soon we're heading on the last quarter of year 2012.  I guess some of you are worried because of the upcoming holidays  and would demand a greater expense.  So we all need to find and create a larger amount of income to be prepared.  Holidays will mean excitement for me even tough it accompanies additional expenses (need to fully stretch the available budget) and stress because of the hectic schedules.

Daddy’s Playtime

A father plays a different role in the family.  They have a different play style compare with mothers.  Daddies tend to play energetically, making a lot of noise and move the babies vigorously.  Moms generally sings, rocks and cuddle the baby gently, plays quiet active games and soothing activities.  These two different approaches complement each other that a baby values it equally the reason why it is so important that both parents should be involved in caring for the baby.  (Based on the book “Caring for Your Baby and the Young)

My Family Life

I am a full time mother of three – JC (4y/o), Eu-La (2y/o) and SJ (4mos.).  I am a proud full time (hands on) mommy no regrets at all!  I know how important it is to see how my children grow and I don’t want the time to pass by without me seeing how they mature.   It is hard for me to leave my children under a nanny’s care.   I am not against working moms and I salute them.  For me it was just a choice of staying in the house and to personally look for my children.  It was a sacrifice on my part, I had so many plans and dreams of my own that for now I needed to give up for the sake of my children.  I am blessed that I no longer need to work because we have our own business that needs lesser supervision; yet at times tempted to look for one considering the growing needs of the family that needs to be sustained.  Also to mention that I am a pastor’s wife – that requires me additional responsibilities in the church.
