Food Trip : Hermanas

After attending the of burial of my grandfather's sister (April 21, 2012)- from Cuenca to Mataas na Kahoy, pakner4lyf and I had been thinking were to go.  We remember that there is a newly opened restaurant in Lipa City.  My brother shares his dining experience at Hermanas together with their boss during his OJT training at Commission on Audit.  The place is easy to find being it located near Star Toll Way Tambo Exit - it's just few meters away from the exit.  If you can notice the above photo (left side),  you can still see Flying V Gasoline station (Presently Flying V Gasoline is already closed and replaced by Jollibee) at their window.

Before everyone goes out of the car pakner4lyf, checks the restaurant first if it's fine to dine inside with the three children, we don't want to have problems with them breaking things inside.  You might be asking now - What's unique with the restaurant?

A vow to remember

We attended Andy and Jessa's wedding (she's my second cousin) this morning.  My daughter was chosen to be one of the flower girls, my younger brother was one of the groomsmen and my parents were one of the principal sponsors.  It was solemnized at Cuenca Bible Christian Church, my home church - the same church where I was married too.  And this made me remember of my own wedding day.  This April 28, we will be celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary.  This day I was reminded of the vows I have uttered to my pakner4lyf.

I was reminded of the thrill and excitement marking that first day of being with the man I have loved most.  Frankly, as years have past, these feelings seemed to be neglected

Vacation at my in-law's-house

It is too tiring to be in a minister's family.  We are involved with different activities and plannings. We are collaborating with so many people not only with our church members.  I have seen that our network of people gets bigger as years comes.  There will be days that we needed to receive guests and fellowship with them.  I love having them at our house, yet on the other side - it is really tiring.  I don't regret welcoming visitors in spite of that.  Would still welcome more guests these coming days.

In a minister's life, too often we really needed a break to refresh our mind and body.

My husband craves for Halo-Halo

The whole Philippine Islands is experiencing too much heat this past few days.  Here in Batangas City, expect a higher temperature having it located in a coastal area.  Cold beverages is really refreshing during this scorching heat of the sun.  With the temperature my children would always ask me to let them turn on the air conditioning unit in our office.  I wouldn't allow them for the whole day practically because we can't afford to pay the electric bill having it turned on for longer period of hours.

Since summer has started, pakner4lyf keeps saying that he wants eat Halo-Halo in San Juan, Batangas.  It's unusual to hear men craving for food.  I don't know if you'll agree with me.  Because of his craving we went to his home town to have the San Juan's Halo-Halo experience.

My newest addiction: cake art

We had a bakeshop, and I literally grew up in a bakery.  My parents were able to send us to school and were able to provide our needs because of our bakeshop.  Even though it was our life, I never had any interest in learning how to make a bread so I never thought of having a branch to manage. If I had a chance to go back in college I could have chosen a course related with our business today.  Anyways it's not too late to learn things.

I'd never thought that I would be interested in cake decorating and will be addicted with it too!

Toddler's and craft activities (4)

School is now over and everyone is excited where to spend summer vacation, but we are still having our classes and hopefully we will be able to finish our curriculum 'till second week of April.  We started our classes second week of August that's the reason why we are still having our classes.

When I was a child my mom would always end up nagging when she sees us watching TV shows (cartoons) and playing video games.  You know during summer for students it would mean freedom!  I understand moms would want their children have that freedom during school vacations and still be productive. My mom would chose to send us in the province at our grandparents house, I now understand what is her reason for doing that - to have a more productive summer vacation instead of wasting time in front of the TV and computer.

To all moms out there thinking of activities for your toddlers here are some of my ideas that you can do.
